# Web Configuration

`web.conf` configures the host and port that the Wallet API v2 web server binds to.

**Note:**

The shipped `web.conf` binds the standalone service to port `7006`. Under [Docker Compose](https://docs.walt.id/community-stack/home.md#quick-start), the port is set via the `WALLET_API2_PORT` environment variable, which also defaults to `7006`.

## File Location

```
waltid-services/waltid-wallet-api2/config/web.conf
```

## Fields

### `webHost`

_String_ — Network interface to bind to.

Defaults to `0.0.0.0`.

### `webPort`

_Int_ — Port the API service listens on.

The standalone service uses `7006` by default. This is the port you send API requests to and open Swagger on.

```hocon
# web.conf
webHost = "0.0.0.0"
webPort = 7006
```

**Note:**

This is separate from [`publicBaseUrl`](https://docs.walt.id/community-stack/wallet2/configurations/config-files/wallet-service.md) in `wallet-service.conf`, which is the wallet's public/front-end-facing base URL and need not use the same port.
